We offer free, drop-in classes at our Health & Wellness Center.

Come for part of a class, stay for the whole time, or simply observe a class to learn more about it.

About Our Classes

To encourage independence of one's care

All classes take place at the LifeLong William Jenkins Center in Richmond, California

Qigong

Every Saturday at 1pm
Every Thursday at 6pm

Qigong is a series of gentle physical movements that reduces stress, calms the mind and spirit, increases energy and promotes good health.

Students will learn basic warm up exercises, and simple acupressure self-massage to help strengthen the body and relax the muscles.   

Adaptive Movement

3rd Saturdays at 11am 

A class for all abilities and disabilities, supporting mobility, strength, and wellness to help rebuild muscle memories and better habits. The class will start in a chair and we will practice stillness and meditation as well. Classes are small and usually include custom movements based on the person’s ability and disability. This class is helpful for rebuilding muscle memory and better habits.

Boxing Basics & Dynamic Movement

Every Thursday at 7pm

No experience or equipment required, this class delivers great cardio fitness, builds confidence, offers stress relief, and supports self-defense through an introduction to boxing and dynamic movement. ​

Yoga

Every Saturday at 12pm

This class will start in a chair and provide gentle movement, breath instruction and stillness practices to support your system to slow down, to promote calm, ease and flow in the body, mind and heart.

Healing Sound

3rd Thursdays at 6pm (during Qigong)

Minna brings healing sounds to the Qigong class once a month on Thursdays at 6pm.  She brings singing bowls, chimes, and other instruments to create a calming and healing atmosphere during class
